a Brief History of our Business
B & R Industries, Inc. was established over thirty years ago in 1979. Originally the corporation opened its doors as a commercial cleaning company which quickly grew to be the organization of choice to large companies as Bellsouth and restaurant chains like Bennigans. Fresh out of college, Randy Williamson and his wife, Toleiha, with little money, but huge dreams used their combined business prowess to form other divisions of the corporation to include landscape and irrigation. In 1985, they sold the landscape and janitorial business but retained the irrigation firm to expand it to what it is today.
Over the years, as opportunity became available, Randy and Toleiha diversified the organization to also include retail irrigation parts sales, low voltage lighting, drainage, underground utilities and backflow prevention. In 1994, B &R Electric, Inc. was formed. This organization grew quickly and as the demand arose, offered an extensive selection of lighting and media solutions. Understanding the need to create space and growth opportunity for B &R Industries, B &R Electric was sold in 2004.
As B &R Industries, Inc. aged, so did Randy and Toleiha’s children and one by one they joined their parents efforts to create a family business that embodies the true definition of the word. Randy Williamson tragically passed away in 2008. Those who knew him knew the strength and unity of his family was his greatest and most treasured accomplishment in life, and that his business success paled in comparison.
Today our organization is as strong and unified as ever with the Williamson family led by Toleiha Williamson, available to meet the needs of our customers. Sons, Travis, Shane and Lance work tirelessly to ensure that the quality, along with our great staff of employees, of our work and the quality of our reputation continues to be at the forefront of our industry. We take great pride in having a business built on satisfied customers and care deeply that those customers are able to recommend us to their friends, neighbors, and business associates – without reservation.
